The purpose of the Conservation District of Southern Nevada is to promote resource conservation, preservation, and sustainability through education, facilitation, and public and private partnerships to benefit the citizens of Clark County, Nevada. The Board Members help the district 1) develop partnerships, working groups, and community connections; 2) locate and administer grants and matching funds to produce projects; 3) provide, coordinate, or assist in conducting free public education programs to inform residents, students, and various organizations about important environmental and sustainability issues. CDSN is administered by a seven-member board of supervisors; five members elected to four-year terms, one member appointed to represent county government, and one member appointed to represent the incorporated cities.
Application Guidelines1) Contact the Clark County Registrar of Voters to confirm that your registered address qualifies you for the position you intend to run for, that you meet other office specific qualifications and inquire as to if the application has a fee. 2) Arrange for receipt (by picking up in person or picking up at a local community center) Clark County Registrar of Voters. Many times you can speak with an elections administrator in person when picking up filing papers, which is an excellent time to ask any questions with staff. 3) File the application with the Clark County Registrar of Voters between March 5th, 2018 and March 16th, 2018, and you will appear on the ballot.
