Description

The GHAD's purpose is to monitor the Master Planned Community for geologic hazards. These hazards are defined as landslide, land slippage, soil erosion, earthquake, other movement of the earth or any other geologic concern. The GHAD is empowered to enact quick emergency responses to ground failures or seismic events. The GHAD may perform abatement and repairs for certain damages

Application Guidelines
To file for this position follow these three simple steps: 1) Contact the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters office to verify that your address qualifies for the position. If the county is unsure of the boundaries, you may then be directed to contact the Secretary or Clerk of the elected body that you are looking to run for. 2) Obtain the correct filing papers from the elections office you have been directed to. Election officials understand that first time or beginning candidates may need some more help in completing paperwork, so feel comfortable in asking any questions regarding the candidacy filing procedure. 3) Submit the filing papers within 113-88 days prior to the election. If these steps are followed and the paperwork submitted within the timeframe, you will appear on the ballot.
